CareTV Storage Adoption v001
============================

GOAL
----
Make already-populated disks become part of one CareTV storage namespace
without copying terabytes from disk to disk.

WINDOWS / STABLEBIT DRIVEPOOL
-----------------------------
Run:
  Run-CareTV-DrivePool-Adopt-v001-Admin.bat

DrivePool requires pooled files to live inside each physical disk's hidden
PoolPart.* directory. The Windows script finds existing DrivePool member
volumes and performs SAME-VOLUME moves of existing top-level data into the
correct PoolPart.* directory.

Same-volume NTFS/ReFS moves normally update filesystem metadata rather than
copying all file contents.

Safety behavior:
  - skips C:
  - only touches volumes that already contain exactly one PoolPart.* folder
  - skips Windows/system/application folders
  - refuses destination-name collisions
  - verifies source and destination are the same physical volume
  - never formats/initializes/rebalances disks
  - logs actions under C:\ProgramData\CareTV\Logs

The script asks you to type ADOPT before moving anything.

LINUX / MERGERFS
----------------
Linux is easier.

mergerfs does NOT need an equivalent PoolPart folder. Existing files can stay
exactly where they already are. A disk becomes part of the unified namespace
by adding its mounted filesystem path to:

  /etc/caretv/mergerfs-branches.conf

Then run:
  sudo ./CareTV-mergerfs-Rebuild-Pool-v001.sh

The unified filesystem appears at:
  /caretv

No data movement is necessary.

RECOMMENDED CARETV RULE
-----------------------
Windows:
Add disk to StableBit DrivePool -> run adoption BAT once.

Linux:
Mount disk at a stable /mnt/caretv-diskNN path -> add that path to the
branches config -> run mergerfs rebuild.

This keeps physical disks independently readable and avoids RAID-style
striping of individual files.
