CareTV / 8K.art Daily-Build Index Rule

Version: v001
Date: 2026-08-20
Status: Permanent publishing convention

Required behavior

Every daily-build directory must contain one stable navigation file named index.html directly under the date root:

/beta/_daily-builds/YYYY-MM-DD/index.html

That filename and URL remain constant throughout the day. Whenever a new project is added or an existing project receives a newer version, the root index.html must be updated so it points to the newest version while preserving links to older versions where useful.

Why

The date directory may contain many folders, ZIP packages, images and versioned builds. The user must never need to browse a raw directory listing to determine what is current. The date-root index.html is the canonical human review surface.

Packaging rule

Every new ZIP deliverable for a daily build must include an updated copy of the date-root index.html. The ZIP must retain the single top-level YYYY-MM-DD/ root required by the CareTV daily-build convention. Project artifacts remain versioned and immutable; the index is the intentionally updating pointer.

Index contents

The index should identify each project created that day, clearly mark the latest version, provide a direct link to the latest reviewable HTML page, provide the current ZIP when useful, and retain older-version links without making them the primary path.

Do not

Do not create a new daily navigation filename for each iteration. Do not require the user to infer the latest version from directory sorting. Do not delete or overwrite prior versioned project artifacts merely because the index now points to a newer build.
