Media Rendering

Each playlist item is displayed as a visual panel within the wall layout. Panels may display thumbnails, websites, livestream feeds, or other supported media types.

The rendering system should preserve a recognizable visual language across builds, especially for borders, safe areas, overlays, and selection behavior.

2026-03-17 Full Integration Additions — Rendering Specifics for AI and Future Contributors

This document now carries the rendering-specific rules that were discussed explicitly in conversation but need to live in a durable implementation reference.

Text rendering must be resolution-independent. Rendering text in the browser at screen size and then scaling it up for export is not acceptable.
QR rendering must be treated as a first-class graphic layer with explicit readiness state and deterministic measurement.
Mixed-script text rendering must support Latin and non-Latin scripts, with layout decisions documented well enough that future contributors can reproduce the behavior.
Any quality mode that reduces fidelity for file size reasons must be optional and clearly labeled; it must never silently replace the master-quality path.
Media rendering docs should be verbose because future AI agents will rely on explicit phrasing to avoid hallucinating alternate pipelines.
