This document defines canonical scenarios every contributor should be able to reproduce before claiming that rendering or export behavior is correct.

1. Required golden cases

1. Bitmap thumbnail with QR, type pill, and footer URL.
2. Text-only URL art tile with QR at 8K.
3. Very long URL that challenges fitting behavior.
4. Uploaded custom thumbnail requiring contain-style presentation.
5. Low-resolution bitmap source exported at high output resolution.
6. Startup sequence where QR must wait for final geometry before display.

2. What to record for each case

• Input line or playlist item
• Relevant toggles and output resolution
• Expected layer order
• Expected QR presence or absence
• Expected fit behavior
• Known unacceptable variants

3. Use of golden cases

Golden cases exist to reduce ambiguity. They are especially important when multiple implementations seem plausible but only one matches the project’s intended behavior.
