Failure Conditions

This document names conditions that constitute regressions or unacceptable outcomes even when other parts of the system appear to work.

1. Render failures

• QR visible live but missing in export.
• QR rendered as part of the wrong layer.
• Text-only tile exported with visibly soft text or QR.
• Export rendered from screen capture rather than target-resolution composition.
• Export composition order differs from live composition order.

2. Layout and startup failures

• Startup QR appears in an incorrect location before snapping later.
• Fit Width under Digital safe area leaves obviously avoidable unused width.
• Fit Everything does not fit the intended visible grid.
• Header text toggle fails to restore the documented header text.

3. Process failures

• A new build is started from an older baseline and reintroduces fixed regressions.
• A feature request is implemented in code but omitted from the docs.
• A contributor relies on undocumented tribal knowledge to justify behavior.
• A master-fidelity export path is quietly replaced by a lower-quality path.
